Well everyone, since i can’t just republish the original journals for the club as they were erased when we were hacked, we’ll just start anew for the main things we need to get out to you by way of important infor regarding the club stuff you need to know as watchers, members, staff and whomever else…the first thing i’m gonna post is what is already on the club shoutboard, but it bears repeating to refresh your memory’s, so here goes:

There are three ways to support this club:

Watcher~
Artist~
Resources~

WHAT IS A WATCHER?
A Watcher is someone who has only clicked on the ‘Watch this deviant’ link and placed the club icon in their journal, but nothing else.

WHAT IS AN ARTIST?
There are two divisions of artists in this club; namely New Fractalist and Senior Fractalist.
What is the difference between the two you might ask?

New Fractalists are defined as artists with roughly less than eight months of fractal experience, based on the submission date of the artists’ first fractal. You must have at least 10 fractals submitted to your personal gallery in order to join, but no more than 50. *That is just to start with, as a guage for the staff. Low pageviews are a plus; less than 800 is best for exposure purposes, but the club understands that not all artists come to fractals first.

Senior Fractalists are artists who have worked with fractals for aprox. over eight months, or have more than 50 fractals in their gallery. Also, this deviant has reached a certain amount of collected knowledge in the amount of time they have participated in the art form. This is a gray area and can be negotiated somewhat. For each individual it varies; we want you to feel comfortable in the status that you are a member of, so please if you are eligible to be a Senior but prefer to be a New Fractalist for a time longer, by all means let us know.
**The flip side will be determined by the staff of the club, but you may petition the staff for Senior Fractalist status by noting the Administrator directly. You will be informed of how to best apply for that level.

1. How do I become a member? 2.What is the difference between a ‘watcher’ and a ‘member’?

Joining:

To be considered for membership, you must watch the club before petitioning for membership. If you are found not to be watching the club, you will be asked to do so before you are added as a member.

How to apply: send a Note to =NFotM with the subject line “Join.” If you wish to be considered for the New Fractalist division, please include a link to your earliest fractal. The Membership Manager will communicate with you via your front page; please keep an eye out for messages. If you have not heard from the Membership Manager within a week, please resend the Note.

A Watcher is someone who has only clicked on the ‘Watch this deviant’ link and placed the club icon in their journal, but nothing else.

A Member is a deviant who has done the above, then noted the club with the required information to become a member as it is stated here in the club guidelines.

Watchlist:

Members are automatically put on the club’s watchlist. If you find that you are not on the club’s watchlist upon clicking the watch link for the club, please contact the Membership Manager and he/she will fix the mistake immediately.

Even if you are not a member, you may be put on =NFotM’s watchlist. This will happen automatically if you support fractal artists and the community (based on your gallery and/or favorites list), and if you watch this club. No other club participation is required. At any time, if you wish to be added to the member’s list, the option is open to you.

SUBMISSION RULES:

1. All submitted art must be a product of a fractal creation program i.e. Ultra Fractal, Apophysis, Fractal Explorer, Quandrum, Tierazon, Chaoscope, etc. It would also be helpful if you would indicate which program you used in your ‘Artist’s Comments’, so we can promote the programs, as well as, the artists.

2. You may only submit two pieces per week! This way our Gallery Manager doesn’t get overwhelmed with submissions. Also, you, the watchers and members, do not have to see hundreds of deviations per week in your ‘Message Centre’. Please keep in mind this is subject to change.

3. Send your gallery submissions to =NFotM. In the subject box, please follow this format: Gallery Submission: <Title> by <Artist>. In the body of the Note, please include a link to the original deviation located on deviantART, any message you would like to have included with the piece, and any prerequisites i.e. size, download availability, license, etc.
