This is a new club webblog that I have set up to chronicle the goings on in the club on a seperate site so if something were to happen again to the club…we will have back up; as well as somewhere you can go and write posts for suggestions if you aren’t signed into you acct, and you can subscribe to the RSS feed if you would like to to get all of the latest up and coming news, as we will be posting copies of the NFotM news articles each month, copies of the journal entries made notifying everyone to what is going on here for events and activities. So please go visit the site today and let us know what you think. We’d love to hear your suggestions, and if you have questions on something, or what have you, you can post those too; be sure to categorize it in the correct category so as to not be confusing ok, if it doesnt fit, leave it in the ‘uncategorized’ one and we’ll get to it ok…thanks for viewing the club and making it a success, for if you didn’t, we wouldn’t; I may be the admin. and the staff may be in charge of certain tasks for the club’s overall functionality, but the club is yours, you make it what you want it to be…you make it as successful as you want it to be, by way of submissions, participation in chats, chat events, contests and challenes, and anything else that goes on here, so keep it all coming ok all…we’ll do our part if you do yours ok…so keep those submits coming so we can see your beautiful art!! ~NFotM Contest~

Ok, so here it is, one of our FIRST ever contests here on NFotM!!!

So, here are the stats you need to know…this is open to all WATCHERS and MEMBERS; Newbs and Seniors alike!!! Staff may enter as well, but will be forbidden from voting for themselves during that phase.

Here’s the task: design the club ID that will be used for six months, creds will go to the winning design and designer and immortalized as the winning entry and designer in the clubs blog found here:
Fractastically Speaking:
Other prizes and such will be determined later, and will be updated here, so keep watching…and GET DESIGNING ALREADY lol!!! We want to see what you can come up with…be sure the design bears in mind the attitude and focus of the club: promotion of new artists and mutual community sharing of skill and talents for new and experienced artists alike. ID must be made in a fractal rendering program listed in the submission guidelines found on our shoutboard. Deadline is set for 15 May 11:59 EDT (Eastern Daylight Time-American); the staff will then vote on their top three at which time will then be put up for club vote from the 21 -31 of May. Winning entry will be revealed 1 June, and prizes awarded. Good luck all and HAVE FUN!!

It has just brought to my attention that i failed to mention size requirements for devID’s lol, so here it is…please keep them around 400 W X 600 H ok…thanks everyone!

EDIT: If you have something you wish to donate as a prize for the winning design/designer, please note the club or one of the staff to let us know what that will be and we will get back to you asap, thanks! ~Admin&Staff…

~Shout out for activity…~

Ok all of you experienced fractalists…here is where you get to shine a lil for the club…
What i’m gonna do now, is ask for any of the senior fractalists to note the club and let us know what kinds of things you’d like to help the newbs with; is it technique, scripts, use of plugins, gradients, editor, program knowledge, etc? Now’s the time to let us know so we can plan activities to best utilize your expertise in the area you are strongest. I know the newbs will greatly appreciate whatever help you can offer, so long as you speak up and offer it lol…so come one, come all and help out the new kids on the block! They’d love to hear from you whether it is one on one, or whether it is in a group activity setting…it matters not…they would love the benefit of your experience! Looking forward to hearing from you all, and this is for all experienced fractalist currently either watching the club or who are members. **Subject line: Senior Fractalists aid

B I G N E W S!!!

We would like to introduce you all to our new additions to the staff.
First, we’d like all of you to welcome =LonesomeFaery as the new Vice Administrator of NFotM! I hope to work closely with her on many things here at NFotM…she has lots of experience with administrative duties for several other fractal clubs and i’m sure she’ll be a great asset to the club!

Next, I’d like you all to give a shout out to our new Club Journalist ~UncleMontezuma as he has just been confirmed to be the one responsible for a lot of our written journals and news articles you’ll be seeing. So go on over to his profile and give him some dA style y’all!!

And last but by far not least, I’ld like you all to say “Hi!” to our new Head New Artist Advocate, ~Meckie as he has just graciously accepted an appointment to this position. Soon he will be selecting his assisting NAA’s so, be ready for a note in your mail requesting your talents ok…

I’d also like to thank all of our present staff for welcoming in these newbs on the block to our family…it is my hope that we’ll work as a tight knit team to bring to you the best this club has to offer by way of news articles featuring the very best of new fractalists who are up and coming in their skills and could use a lil promotion. Also, some features of our more experienced fractalists also will still be coming forth; we don’t want to forget these great artists either!

Also, be on the look out for some of our up and coming activities, events and features…I hope that you’ll enjoy them…until then everyone…that’s our news…and more to come later!! for now…

We’re Back!

I just wanted to let all of you know that we obviously have the club back and will be getting everything back in order as much as possible soon ok…so don’t worry. also, keep sending in your submissions, and we do have our shoutboard all set up now ok, so if you have forgotten the guidelines … go take a peek to refresh your memories ok.

I also would like to take a moment to thank all of you who dropped into the “Meet and Greet Mixer” the other night, i greatly appreciate your efforts. later in April, I’ll put out a journal question or a poll or both to find out your thoughts and opinions on how it went so if you have one, please write it down so you won’t forget…right now, i want a chance to go over the transcript of the event and do a personal inventory of how it went ‘on paper’ so to speak ok…also, a big thanks to all of our honored guests who made it in the chatroom; you are greatly appreciated also for taking the time to chat with the newer artists and what not, i know they enjoyed themselves and having you available for questions or just plain camaraderie. so a big thank you from the staff here at =NFotM and all of the newbs out there who enjoy your art.

All other contests and challenges i’ll put on a short hold for now until we really get the club back up and running smoothly, all other club articles and such will go on as normal. This next quarter, I’m gonna run the selection process for the male and female NFotM a lil differently ok…here is how it is gonna work. I’d love your input on this, so what I’d like to see you all do, is if you now of a newer artist that would fit the guidelines for our definition of a new fractalist, please note the dev-id to one of the club staff and we will choose who the next months person will be, so it might be helpful to know a lil bit about this person you are submitting their screen name; now this can be done by watcher, member, senior or new fractalist alike, as well as staffers can also find and ‘nominate’ a NFotM candidate also and we will meet as a staff to discuss the candidates at length and then go from there. Does this make sense…ok hopefully it does ..so get seeking for those treasured new artists ok…we love’m love’m love’m

News and updates galore!!

Welcome to the new look of NFotM!! I’ve worked long and hard on the new CSS graphics here and just where they’re supposed to go so I hope y’all like it! As you all can see to the left here, we’re looking for a few good people to fill a couple of spots here at NFotM so new artists, senior artists don’t hesitate to throw your hat into the ring at a chance to help shape the club and carry it to it’s potential!! If you want a chance to help make this club great; then send in your notes to the club subject line: “Application for” and name the spot you’d like to be considered for, if you are willing to try for any of them, just say any or all and we’ll do the rest ok…
Current NFotM staffers, be ready to have a meeting here soon about the current events and such that are coming up or things we’d like tok see happen, put your thinking caps on ok…and note the Admin. when the best time to meet for you would be ASAP!!
