So, we have just recently hired a new Membership manager. she is young and energetic and is really excited about learning more about fractals!! And her devID is *SimplySteff!! She isn’t a fractalist by art-trade, but she is anxious and willing to learn all about the art form. She is also excited about what this club is all about, and that is why she voiced interest in helping however she could, so i suggested to her that instead of just being a ‘watcher’ as she isn’t a fractalist (yet ) that she could be a staffer and really get her hands dirty with helping those that are fractalists to improve their art form by way of encouragement from our MM!! So go to her profile and wish her well in her new position everyone…Welcome aboard Steff!!

ok, so here they are, read carefully, and find out who this person is ok, and don’t forget to leave a brief msg and this emote [ ] on their front page so i’ll know who has actually found the target of the chase, ok!! here they are:
clue #1= target is a female…
clue #2= target’s last journal lists ‘chocolate tea-unleaded’ as her drink…
clue #3= target has recently created a deviation named: “FM Stamp”…

[#3:]New Fractalists of the Month, Issue 4 has now been published by our wonderful club journalist ~UncleMontezuma, so go take a look and it and share it with everyone in the community ok!!

[#4:] I just published a second news article for your reading pleasure called “Mother May I…” where I have taken over 200 fractals in our club fav’s gallery and featured them…so go take a peek and see if you are included…if not, don’t worry, there’ll be another one later on this year; i obviously couldn’t include every single one in he fav’s gallery, that wouldn’t be practical, so have some patience and you too will be featured ok…you are all very talented artists, so please remember that, ok…

[#5:]So I’m thinkin’ we’ll attempt at the NFotM Chase again, but with a slight change in the format…and here is how we’ll run it this time, ok.
1st: I will post a few clues about ONE of our club members/watchers…
2nd: YOU the club member/watcher newb and senior alike (including staff–except me) will ‘chase’ down the clues in effort to figure out who the target deviant is…
3rd: when you think you have found the target deviant, you will leave a comment on their front page with the phrase “You have been caught by: *insert devID/icon here*“
4th: then, you will note your ‘capture’s avatar and one of your fav deviations of theirs from their gallery to the club.
5th: THERE WILL BE A TIME LIMIT on each ‘chase’ so don’t hesitate, get right on it; the chase will generally run for only a weeks time, that being from the time stamp of the journal entry to seven full days afterwards, so pay close attention to that…
6th: the winners in the given time period will be featured in order of correct location of target and time in which the capture was executed in a club chase journal entry and possibly news article…and there will be braggin rights in how quickly and efficiently you were able to locate the target deviant…again, this is in an effort to get to know your fellow deviants, and club members/watchers…so it is meant to have fun also…the winner and first and second runners up will be immortalized in the clubs web blog also, so everyone will know each time and be able to go and look off site who did and didn’t ‘capture’ the member/watcher…
7th: And here is the twist…the winner of each chase, must feature in some form or another, the target deviant of that winners chase; that could be a journal entry with a few favorite deviations from the target, a tribute news article illustrating a few pieces and why they like some of their art, an interview that is submitted either to the club, or in their own personal journal, or a tribute news article…or any other form of recognition; bearing in mind that the target could be a senior dA member, a senior club member, a newb, our gallery director herself, a staff member of the club or just a watcher of the club…so, my advice…start boning up on everyone’s profiles and galleries…we start next week
**SPECIAL NOTE: journal timestamp is in Pacific Daylight Time I believe…so adjust your participation accordingly, ok…and GOOD LUCK!!

NFotM Contest

Ok, so here it is, one of our FIRST ever contests here on NFotM!!!

So, here are the stats you need to know…this is open to all WATCHERS and MEMBERS; Newbs and Seniors alike!!! Staff may enter as well, but will be forbidden from voting for themselves during that phase.

Here’s the task: design the club ID that will be used for six months, creds will go to the winning design and designer and immortalized as the winning entry and designer in the clubs blog found here:

Other prizes and such will be determined later, and will be updated here, so keep watching…and GET DESIGNING ALREADY lol!!! We want to see what you can come up with…be sure the design bears in mind the attitude and focus of the club: promotion of new artists and mutual community sharing of skill and talents for new and experienced artists alike. ID must be made in a fractal rendering program listed in the submission guidelines found on our shoutboard. Deadline is set for 15 May 11:59 EDT (Eastern Daylight Time-American); the staff will then vote on their top three at which time will then be put up for club vote from the 21 -31 of May. Winning entry will be revealed 1 June, and prizes awarded. Good luck all and HAVE FUN!!

It has just brought to my attention that i failed to mention size requirements for devID’s lol, so here it is…please keep them around 400 W X 600 H ok…thanks everyone!
